A look ahead to City vs Dortmund in the Champions league...

In our second champions league group game, Dortmund travel to the Etihad in what's set to be a thrilling encounter. This in a way is a must win game for us, because it would be difficult to qualify if we don't win our home games. I'm not saying that we're not capable of getting anything away to Ajax and Dortmund though, cause we are.

Against Real there were many positives despite the defeat. Not many teams could go to probably the second best team in the world and score two goals as well as leading for a lot of the second half. I'm confident if we play like that tomorrow we'll get a win and maybe even a comfortable one.

I'm not convinced that we'll score more goals than last season but with Aguero, Tevez and Dzeko playing well; our attack isn't bad is it? I was thinking that Dzeko would be sold last season but i'm certainly glad we didn't sell him. He took his goal against Real superbly and scored another good goal against Fulham that won us the match. Carlos Tevez is still working his socks off, chasing down every ball in reach and scoring.

At Fulham our defence looked fairly solid. But still no clean sheet yet. Hart hasn't done badly though and he certainly wasn't bad agianst Madrid. He kept us in it for the whole of the first half. Hoping for a similar performance tomorrow (just without conceding the goals at the end). In defence it'll be interesting to see if Mancini goes with Kolarov or sticks with Zabaleta. Personally i'd be suprised if he Kolarov wasn't picked as he usally is for the Champions league matches.

Regardless of the above, our defence needs to be tight. We can't leave gaps in between the back four (or three). Also it would help if Vincent "captain fantastic" Kompany played well. So far he hasn't been up too his usual standard, especially against Madrid in which he was at fault for two of their three goals. To be fair he played well against Fulham last week. Joleon Lescott is a player i'm a fan of but he hasn't really been given his chance this season. As i'm sure you're aware him and Kompany work so well at the back together. One of the reasons we we're so hard to beat last season.

David Silva was magnificent against Fulham and I have a feeling that, that was the game where he regained his form. We'll see. There's no doubt about it, David is a quality player and even Utd fans admit that he's a joy to watch when he's on form.

If a defender could stop Yaya when he starts running with the ball i'd be more than surprised. Even against madrid he left the defence in his wake. He also set up Edin Dzeko's goal. When he doesn't play the team never looks the same. He is irreplaceable. We'll need him to play well tomorrow.

Maicon, Rodwell and Micah Richards are all out with injuries for City.

Probable line ups: City = Hart, Zabaleta, Nastasic, Clichy, Garcia, Barry, Silva, Yaya, Aguero, Tevez.

Borussia Dortmund = Weidenfeller, Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Kehl, Gundogan, Blazszczykowski (Sorry if not spelt correctly), Gotze, Reus, Lewandowski

Mancini knows that we mustn't get ahead of ourselves but I can't help but feel, what a great way to prove wrong our critics, by topping the group and maybe even going futher than the quarters. I live in hope.

Can't wait for it! Enjoy the game, no matter what team you support!
