A look at the rumours and stories from Man City's transfer window.

Mancini is angered, annoyed and fuming at Brian Marwood - one of City's main executive staff, that's if you believe the rumours. So far City have only signed one player Jack Rodwell from Everton for a fee of £15 and the Daily Mail have even reported that he is in danger of losing his job. That is almost certain not to happen. Recently Daniele De Rossi committed his future to Roma ending talk of a move to City.

Mancini is a big admirer and was willing to pay £31 million and £130,000 a week in wages for the Italian midfielder. De Rossi was one of City's main targets and though it was never expected he would join it was a blow. Today Man City have reportably had £30 million for David Luiz, turned down by Chelsea. This was definatly not expected, though we're in need of a centre back as back up it was not assumed we'd go for a player who can be a very untrustable. Chelsea would only consider considerably more and he's exactly the type of player we don't need regardless of position.

Yesterday he was fined by Chelsea for tweeting he had a knee injury after being dropped by Roberto Di Matteo. Earlier this month City had two bids turned down for Agger by Liverpool. They reportably wanted £27 million for him aswell as a package deal that would include Adam Johnson becoming a Red. City are still in the hunt for a centre back and Mancini still might try and sign one by the end of the window. Another player that has been linked to City is Javi Martinez but Bayern Munich beat both City and Manchester Utd for his signature. City were/are intrested in a few strikers this summer.

I'd happily take Cavani or Jovetic in a City shirt but I can't see why we want them with such a brilliant strike-force. One striker I'm glad isn't a City player is Van Persie. He's injury prone and has only had one good season, I think he should of stayed at Arsenal for at least another year before signing for Utd. Scott Sinclair is expected to sign for City by the end of the week. He is a brilliant youngster and really impressed me last season with his goal scoring and work rate. Swansea coach Alan Curtis has said "he'll be a city player by Augast the 31st" (end of the window).

If we only signed him and Rodwell we've signed two great players but it's more to do with who we haven't got that have made it such a frustrating window. But it's not always going to be about world class players. Another player we could still sign is Royston Drenthe on a free, he has been released after a loan spell at Everton but Ac Milan an West Ham are also intrested in the former Real Madrid man. He has a very powerful shot and would be a great impact sub but I woundn't really be bothered if we didn't get him.

The tabloids have suggested that we could sign Downing and Ba, I woundn't mind the latter but there false rumours. Adam Johnson is close to completing a move to Sunderland for £10 million. Good winger and he has scored some great goals but he's not good enough for the city team any more and his work rate has been questioned. Edin Dzeko has been targeted by Ac Milan on loan but he is happy to stay at City and is a very popular player with the fans. Kolarov has also been linked away from the club but no official bid has been received.

Balotelli has expressed his desire to stay which is great and stopped the usual load of rumours that he wants a move back to Italy. Maybe we should of tried harder to sign Martinez when De Rossi said he wanted to stay at Roma or went for Ba like the tabloids suggested but anyway why the negativity were champions!
